Come, shine with us!Astellas is announcing a Director, Marketing opportunity in our Deerfield, IL location.SUMMARY:- Responsible for directing the commercial marketing activities for Astellas in the Latin American market. Ensures effective and optimal management of franchise or brand(s) of scope and complexity.RESPONSIBILITIES:- Develop and oversee the implementation of the portfolio brand strategy, positioning and branding activities. - Achieve market share and sales objectives for assigned products. Continuously re-evaluate market dynamics & brand performance to identify product strategic gaps and develop strategic solutions. - Responsible for overall risk management related to the portfolio.- Drives key opinion leader management and development of a market presence via key thought leaders to position themselves in the medical community as a leader while gaining access for other marketing personnel.- Responsible for overall product market and financial success including public relations, legal, finance, pricing, and contracting recommendations.- Leads and manages product management groups through complete product life cycle while developing long term objectives for product growth or downward management. - Represents product and geography responsibilities at global meetings.- Responsible for overall budget management, accuracy, and prioritization of brand and departmental budgets. 

REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with an advanced degree in business or science strongly preferred- 10+ years of relevant experience depending on degree including 5 years marketing leadership experience preferably within the Pharmaceutical industry- Background to include previous supervisory responsibility and international experience preferably in Latin America- Demonstrated ability to manage business within the competitive and regulatory environment.- Requires significant communication and leadership skills and the ability to create and implement the department�s mission and integrate it with the organization�s mission.- Strong relationship management and influencing skills and comfort working with cross-functional teams- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to understand and help define business questions and present findings in a compelling manner to various audience- Must be fluent in Spanish/English with Portuguese highly desirable- Ability to travel domestically and internationally required (up to 50%)
