Responsibilities

 

  • Perform accounting responsibilities for assigned accounts; i.e., reconcile transaction activity and cash and asset positions, run client reports and generate client fee bills. Act as backup for one or more Investment Accountants.
  • Address all accounting and portfolio management system related requests for assigned teams; i.e., set up groups, maintain system settings and review new accounts setup.
  • Participate in projects requested by management such as testing and implementing: Eagle interfaces, interface upgrades, new Eagle releases and new or modified client and management reports.
  • Assist in quality control processes which may include: monitoring status of reconciling and fee bill processing, assuring written policies and procedures are consistently applied and identifying areas where additional training is needed maintaining.
  • Train and mentor new Investment Accountants. Assist Investment Accounting Manager in continuous education programs.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting or finance required
  • 3-5 years experience in an investment accounting role required
  • Detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks
  • Demonstrates initiative and persistence
  • Able to exercise independent judgment
  • Commits to satisfying internal and external customers
  • Delivers clear, effective communication and commits to understanding others
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
