Summary:
 
The ideal candidate will have the skill set necessary to manage the strategic planning, creative development and production of customer and prospect communications. Position will have a specific focus on email, direct mail and micro-site/portal development and execution for direct response programs, which make a significant contribution to company volume goals, as measured on a program by program basis.
 
In addition, this position will lead e-mail communications interfacing with all internal and external constituencies who are involved in e-mail development and deployment. Lastly, this position will lead the creative and functional development of web portals associated with customer programs as needed.
 

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Manage strategic planning, creative development, production and execution of direct response marketing materials for acquisition and customer communication programs led by Integrated Marketing Communications and/or from our internal partners in Marketing and other AORs with emphasis on direct mail, e-mail and web-based vehicles.
  • Provide pro-active oversight, thought leadership and best practices for Allstate's e-mail programs.
  • Lead development of customer communication materials (e-mail and direct mail) for existing programs including but not limited to customer on-boarding/ service, claims correspondence, billing and customer retention programs.
  • Lead development of acquisition programs for leads generated by Integrated Marketing Communications programs including development, testing, implementation and expansion.
  • Lead creative and functional portal development within Integrated Marketing Communications for Customer Experience and product innovation assignments.
  • Lead development of new, agent directed e-mail programs, including templates for agents to use when they contact a single customer triggered by an inquiry and to reach many customers for sales and service-related reasons.
  • Update and refine corporately sponsored cross-sell direct mail consistent with best practices.
  • Provide day to day integration with internal "client" groups (Customer Experience, Regional Marketing, Marketing Operations, Innovations, Claims, Emerging Businesses, Allstate Motor Club and others) and with direct response agencies to help ensure consistency of brand messaging, look and feel in communications.
  • Managing Integrated Marketing Communication's interface with Marketing Operations for database and production of direct mail and e-mail.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on e-mail and direct mail, including knowledge of processes, current market trends and regulations as they pertain to these categories.
 


Job Requirements:


 

  • Minimum of seven to ten years of directly related experience.
  • Deep experience in the planning, development and execution of direct response marketing communications programs.
  • Proven, well rounded track record for producing highly responsive creative; knowledge of production for various forms of direct response advertising, especially e-mail, interactive portals/ landing pages and direct mail including best practices and deep knowledge of production to garner efficiencies.
  • Strong database, analytic knowledge and the ability to adapt this knowledge to improve program development and reporting.
  • Deep knowledge of e-mail including creative development, programming, deployment and reporting.
  • Direct Mail experience with an emphasis on best practices and production excellence.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of functional and creative development of web micro-sites and portals.
  • Strong understanding of creative and production processes, trends and terminology-with an eye on achieving cost savings/efficiencies.
  • Proven ability to lead internal and external partners and the confidence to interact with Senior Management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines.
  • Strong influencing and relationship-building communication skills.
  • Advanced project management skills.
  • Advanced verbal, written and presentation skills.
