Overview: The pricing analysts are responsible for responding to industry fare filings and the development of United's fares, including price points, restrictions and implementation thereof. This group is one of the pillars of revenue management. Responsibilities: - Determines competitive positioning in fare structure, for both published and unpublished fare products.
- Closely monitors market performance, including fare usage, revenue, market share and consumer segmentation behavior to help develop United's pricing strategy.
- Responsible for matching and/or initiating fare actions in a group of markets, involving system and tactical fare filings, requiring timely analysis of competitor fare transmissions, to optimize revenue.
- Performs market fare structure clean up, i.e., identify and correct fare structure irregularities in accordance with United pricing guidelines.
- Assesses the impact of pricing actions and clearly present relevant findings. Translate results into recommendations for the development of future pricing strategies.
- Works closely with Senior Pricing Analyst to coordinate and implement pricing actions.
- Develops appropriate market pricing strategies with Pricing Lead and Senior Pricing Analyst

Education: - Bachelor's degree with desired major in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or other business based field.
Experience: - A minimum of 1 year of Revenue Management experience working in a similar capacity with strong analytical experience required.
- Airline experience is required.
Skills: - Proficiency in MS Office Products
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills
- Good communication (oral and written) and teamwork skills
- Solid planning, time management, and decision making skills
