Underwriters - work for a work-class employer!
In this role you will underwrite residential loans ensuring compliance with appropriate company and secondary market investor standards. Other duties includ (but not limited to):
Examine loan documentation for accuracy and completeness
Manually calculating income to debt ratio
Work with production staff to secure all required documents
Manually reviewing appraisals
Work with other underwriters on loan exceptions
Have authority to withdraw and decline loans
May be involved in one or several types of mortgage lending (conventional, Rural Housing)
Extensive internal customer contact required
The pay rate range is $25.00 to $27.00 per hour.
