Recruiting Supervisor Gate Gourmet, a gategroup company, is the world’s largest independent provider of catering and provisioning services for airlines and railroads. We serve more than 200 million meals a year to our 250-plus customers at more than 100 airport locations around the globe. We are currently looking for a Recruiting Supervisor to join our Human Resources team based in Chicago, Illinois. Reporting to the Regional Director, Human Resources the Recruiting Supervisor will be responsible for partnering with other Human Resources personnel and Unit Operations leaders to understand business objectives and fulfilling corresponding hourly workforce needs. Ideal candidate will have extensive union recruiting experience and will possess the ability to become the Taleo (Applicant Tracking System) Administrator. Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Establishes hourly workforce recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; meeting with manager and other human resources personnel to discuss needs
- Helps build applicant sources by researching an contacting community services, college, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information and opportunities; making presentations and maintaining rapport
- Collaborates with Operations to understand job descriptions and corresponding qualifications required of job candidates
- Conducts and supervises applicant intake process
- Evaluates applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, and comparing qualifications to job requirements
- Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation; coaching managers on compliance; recommending new procedures, conducting training
- Maintains applicant and position data using tools required
- Ensures that weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Accomplishes human resources and organization mission by completing related results as needed
Qualifications Education - Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources related field or equivalent experience
Work Experience - 3 to 5 years in human resources related role
- Experience recruiting or working in transportation, hospitality, manufacturing, or food service environment highly desirable
Job Skills - Multi-lingual skills highly desirable
- Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal employment law
- Position requires experience and skills in interviewing, phone communication, business partnering, relationship building, analysis, time management, and prioritizing multiple projects/tasks
- Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, and be highly organized, action oriented, and collaborative
- Must have strong computer and database skills (Excel, Word, etc)
- Experience with Applicant Tracking System (Taleo preferred)
Communication Skills - Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as good listener
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations Travel - Occasional travel may be required
Environmental Requirements - Normal office environment
