Compensation: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour
Our client in the non-profit sector is looking for a Payroll Manager for their downtown Chicago office.
The Payroll Manage's duties include managing all of the payroll and human resource facets of the daily operations of the office. The Payroll Manager will supervise payroll and administrative staff. The Payroll Manager will oversee payroll processing (to include state and federal payroll tax return processing), benefits administration (including employee/employer payroll deductions and monthly invoice reconciliations and 401k compliance support), all Department of Labor interactions including unemployment claims, hearings, etc. Additional responsibilities include Employee Manual updates and client specific customizations as well as other miscellaneous client communications. Basic financial management experience is preferred. Excellent verbal and communication skills required. MS Office skills required and previous payroll experience necessary. Knowledge of PeopleSoft payroll system software a plus.
