We have an opening for a Wal-Mart Retail Analyst at our Global Headquarters in Chicago, IL .

Summary:

The Walmart Retail Analyst supports the Sales, Operations, Purchasing, and Marketing Teams in their respective functions while creating and monitoring Walmart sales forecasts, supplying timely and accurate sell through reporting, providing analysis on sales and market place performance trends, increasing revenue and profitability by managing effective replenishment, preventing unfavorable inventory positions, and assisting the Account Managers in developing the strategic direction of the Walmart / Wilson partnership.

Major Responsibilities:

Forecasting

-          Generate and maintain item level demand forecasts to meet the collaborative
            objectives  defined by Walmart and Wilson

-          Analyze and Identify trends in ordering patterns and generate and execute action plans
            to minimize inventory risks

-          Assist in the management of the flow of goods through the Supply Chain with Marketing 
            and Planning teams

-          Measure and report on forecast performance

Maximizing Replenishment

-          Build and maintain relationships with the Walmart Replenishment and Merchant Teams

-          Develop replenishment strategies to meet Walmart’s objectives and implement them in 
           collaboration with the Walmart Replenishment Analysts, i.e. seasonal inventory builds, 
           suggested stock levels, instock action plans, store level inventory optimization, etc.

-          Detect trends in sales and inventory and provide suggestions for Walmart order and
           distribution adjustments
-          Develop regional and promotional opportunities with the Account Managers for Walmart 
           based on market share data, trends and the market’s competitive landscape
-          Drive sales and market share by contributing in a consultative sales process and 
           providing an added value for Walmart
 

Sales Reporting and Analysis

-          Effectively communicate weekly POS results to the Walmart team and also the Sales,
           Operations, Purchasing and Marketing teams

-          Proactively analyze the business at Walmart to identify areas to increase Wilson sales 
           and generate new business opportunities

-          Generate and present formal and ad hoc sales analysis

-          Track and report effectiveness of promotional activity

-          Report weekly and monthly sales and instock results

Minimum Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree
3+ Years Sales, Customer Service or Consumer Products Experience

Proven analytical skills with the ability to identify and execute actionable recommendations
Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver strategic analysis 

Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all levels of management
Initiative to engineer process improvement
Effective verbal and written communication skills
