Our client, located in the north suburbs, is looking to fill the following freelance position:

Ideal candidates will have experience in both traditional Information Architecture as well as Usability Engineering. The Information Architect will improve the user experience and achieve business goals through simplicity and clarity in Web interface design. The Information Architect's primary responsibility will be to create wireframes that are simple, clear and customer-focused, work closely with the creative team to identify and incorporate branding elements and copy necessary to create well-branded sites, help to ensure that technology supports the proposed functionality, and participate in visual review and acceptance testing to ensure that details in wireframes and project specifications are implemented.

Requirements 3+ years of experience designing functionality for commercial web sites and/or consulting for interactive media design, preferably within a creative team (e-commerce and/or consumer branding experience preferred)

Understanding of HTML, DHTML, CSS and JavaScript, Visio, personalization, customization and content management systems

Ability to translate user research data and business goals into effective unique experiences that best serves user needs within the project limitations.
