ITW Buildex is a leading manufacturer of fastening systems for the commercial construction, metal building and suspension anchoring industries and a growing division of Fortune 200 Illinois Tool Works, Inc.  We are seeking an entrepreneurial and dynamic individual to direct the marketing functions of our product lines sold through a channel of independent distributors, national accounts and OEMs.  This position requires approximately 50% travel and reports to the General Manager.  More specifically the National Marketing Manager will:

 

  • Direct and execute the strategic marketing plans to meet and/or exceed organizational goals. 
  • Pursue and qualify new product platforms and adjacencies to maximize market penetration and profitability.
  • Collaborate with other functional areas to successfully drive strategies throughout the organization.
  • Actively participate in the entire New Product Development process by providing input on customer’s needs, capacity planning, sourcing requirements and product launches.
  • Through the use of ITW Principles, create and execute policies that meet or exceed the financial goals of the business.
  • Provide leadership and development to the marketing team.

Requirements

The ideal candidate for the National Marketing Manager should possess the following:

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration.  Graduate level degree preferred.
  • 7-10 years of progressive marketing experience, including a minimum of 5 years of in-depth product development/management experience and strategic planning/implementation.
  • The ability to perform successfully in a fast paced environment.
  • A demonstrated track record in market research, new product development and new product platforms (through internal development or acquisition).
  • Exceptional business acumen and analytical aptitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and solid proficiency with computers. 
  • Proven managerial and leadership abilities.
