Accounting Manager

Our client is currently on the search for an Accounting Manager for their office in the north suburbs.  The Accounting Manager will work with directly with the CEO and sustain excellent relationships. They will be involved in all aspects of accounting and finance including financial reporting, month end close, budgeting and forecasting and have supervisory duties.  Are you ready to take on the challenge of being the key financial person in the company?

Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

•Actively involved with assisting in the monthly close process, more so with reconciliations/operations.  

•Analysis of certain general ledger accounts and prepare schedules as necessary for external reporting requirements.

•Responsible for assisting in audit activities which impact the accounting group

•Supervise a staff of 4 plus accounting professionals

•Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and theory.

•Strong analytical and business communication skills.  

•Proficient in Microsoft office and should have the ability to interact cooperatively and work as a team.   

Accounting Manager Requirements:

•Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required

•CPA is required

•Experience with a large ERP a plus

•7-10 years experience in Auditing/Accounting

•Large company experience, preferably in a corporate setting with day-to-day supervisory responsibilities

•Public accounting (BIG 4) experience preferred
