Director - New Business Unit (Category Management and Supply Chain)

 

Our Company is looking for an experienced Director to lead a new business unit responsible for category management, supply chain operations, financial planning and analytics, customer service and overall business strategy.  This is a high profile position that reports directly to the President of our U.S. operations. 

 

Position requires ten plus years of relevant work experience with at least five years experience in retail marketing and category management.  Experience in a food manufacturing and/or supply chain (e.g., sourcing, distribution) is highly desirable. Airline or airline catering experience a plus.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in driving bsuiness results and building and managing teams for a successful start-up business unit.

Requirements
  • Ten plus years of relevant work experience with at least five years experience in Retail Marketing / Category Management.

  • Experience in a food manufacturing and/or supply chain (e.g., sourcing, distribution) highly desirable. 
  • Airline or airline catering experience a plus.
  • Proven experience in building and managing teams in a business start-up environment
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university required; Masters in related field preferred (Strategy, Marketing, Operations).
  • Position requires experience and demonstrated high-level of competency in:

    o   Leadership

    o   Planning and analysis

    o   Influencing and persuading

    o   Presentation and facilitation

    o   Effective relationship building and management

    o   Prioritization and time management

  • Candidate must have proven track record in driving business results (e.g., assemble strong team, set business objectives, establish performance metrics, and manage resources to deliver)

  • Candidate will be an action oriented, highly organized problem solver with proclivity for collaboration and decision-making

  • Computer proficient with Microsoft Office applications or similar (including Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel).
