Responsibilities:

Due to continued growth and the demand for ever-evolving trading applications and systems, (confidential) Inc is currently looking to hire a proven Market Data Analyst / Engineer.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust tools, processes, and relationships with critical third-party market data vendors.

 

Duties include:

§   Ensure provision of market data support to trading personnel on 24x6 basis including real-time, reference and backfill internal/external market data

§   Investigate, acquire, and maintain market vendor data and sources to match end-user expectations

§   Analyze competing vendor data offerings and advise for optimum availability, quality and cost-value

§   Maintenance of full market data licensing inventory and contracts

§   Develop new and manage existing vendor relationships

§   Interpret, review and negotiate contracts and SLAs from a business perspective

§   Collaborate with technology department to ensure accuracy and availability of data distribution and consumption

§   Respond to and resolve data integrity concerns with third-party vendors and internal systems as appropriate


Requirements:

(confidential) Inc is looking for self-directed and motivated people who are driven to deliver reliable trading market data services to trading, quantitative research, and technical personnel in a low-latency and highly-efficient manner.

 

Expectations of this role include the ability to demonstrate clear and concise verbal and written communication in the form of discussion participation, email, and written documentation.   Communication skills are crucial to working with a variety of business roles to plan, schedule, organize, and coordinate efforts.

 

Required technical skills include:

·          Understand differing vendor data models and structures for financial instruments

·          Experience working with market data vendors such as Bloomberg, Reuters and IDC

·          Rapid application development to deploy acquired data into existing or new solutions

·          Real time and reference market data experience

·          Microsoft SQL Server development and programming experience with 1 or more RAD languages

·          Prefer C# experience

 

Required competencies include:

·          Demonstrable knowledge or understanding of financial markets

·          Ability to operate without the need for close supervision while managing own workload

·          Ability to be highly organized to manage and prioritize many projects/issues simultaneously while providing workflow transparency

·          Forward-thinking and innovative for continued process evolution

·          Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical ideas to business users

·          Strong problem solving skills

·          Ability to work under pressure

·          Extremely detail-oriented

 

Compensation:

Salary plus annual bonus
