Description Godwin Pumps is seeking an experienced Class A CDL driver to manually load, unload and deliver rental pumps, hose, pipe and fittings to a variety of job sites including construction, waste water treatment facilities, manufacturing plants, refineries, mills, quarries and industrial/power plants.  Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to: setting up and dismantling equipment and conducting vacuum tests to ensure equipment is operating properly.

Requirements To meet the needs of our customers by ensuring all Godwin pumping equipment and accessories are delivered or picked up in a safe, efficient and timely manner. Ensures equipment being delivered and/or picked up is loaded on the truck for safe over-the-road travel. Reviews all items being delivered or picked up with the customer to ensure completeness and accuracy. Performs daily visual inspections of delivery equipment and documents any service needs. Maintains current and accurate log books. Maintains mileage and fuel logs as required. Assists in the set-up of pumping equipment. Participates in a rotating after-hours emergency response on-call schedule.

General Requirements

  • Basic mechanical ability and working knowledge of diesel powered equipment
  • General knowledge of proper load securement to include chains and straps
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic reading and mathematical skills
  • Good sense of direction and ability to read a map

 

Physical Requirements

  • Daily handling of pumps, hose, pipe, fittings and other accessory equipment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds frequently on a daily basis
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend and squat
  • Ability to push and pull
  • Ability to twist and reach over head
  • Ability to grasp and squeeze

 

Licenses/Specialized Training

  • Class A commercial driver license
  • Hazmat endorsement preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred
