Job Description 

Tax Manager

Exciting time to join this growing company! Located in Chicago's west suburbs, our client is seeking a highly talented tax accounting professional to build the tax function from the ground up. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax compliance, including tax returns, extensions, and quarterly estimated taxes
  • Preparing quarterly FAS 109 calculations and the related financial statement 10K/I0Q disclosures  
  • Preparing FIN 48 documentation
  • Uses knowledge of tax concepts to seek to identify opportunities to minimize company's tax burden
  • Assisting in tax related issues regarding potential acquisitions
  • Identifying, researching, and evaluating tax issues, federal and state
  • Ensure SOX compliance with regard to tax matters

 

 


Job Requirements 

Tax Manager

Required Skills/Experience

 

  • Extensive relevant tax experience

  • Public Accounting experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

  • Strong technical skills with regard to tax issues

  • Working knowledge of current tax laws

  •  

 

Preferred Skills/Experience

 

  • CPA
  • Big 4
  • MST or JD
