Hospital District Manager of Food Service for Healthcare Company: Chicago, Illinois
Overall accountability for setting standards and ensuring compliance in all hospital facility-dining operations, with a large, multi-outlet hospital facility just outside of Chicago. Candidate needs to have healthcare experience in Hospitals or Senior Service Care (emphasis is placed on Hospitals) and must have some multi-unit experience managing numerous sites. The successful candidate must set objectives, reinforce high standards, monitor performance, and reward the team members so that their efforts result in profitability, high quality food and customer service.
This position provides overall vision, planning, direction and control to assigned facilities within a defined area, to exceed operating and financial goals. Provide guidance and motivation to managers and other staff. As a successful leader you will set objectives, monitor performance, and train and develop team members while focusing on high food quality and standards to exceed our customer’s expectations. Requirements & Responsibilities:
• Maintains compliance standards for meal service, food quality and task performance.
• This is a Hospital with many other parts to it. Several retail stores, fitness center, a skilled nursing section and other facilities as well.
• Multi Unit Experience is a HUGE plus.
• Performs daily audits of safety, sanitation, food quality, meal delivery at point of service, and quality standards to optimize financial and operational productivity.
• Conducts meetings with residents on a regular basis to ensure satisfaction with dining services.
• Works with clients in maintaining safe work environment in facility.
• Manages team members to ensure that they both exceed the client’s expectations and achieve targeted quality and performance.
• Oversees managers in a diverse environment; establishes and maintains effective client and resident relations.
• Maintains weekly operating report to analyze performance to budget and ensures financial goals are met.
• Leads in the development of overall financial and business planning as well as selling new businesses and growing existing business.
• Manages team members in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer service.
• Leads and directs the overall operations of multiple facilities in accordance with customer needs, government regulations and company policies, with focus on providing and maintaining customer service.
• Develops team members through appropriate training, coaching and mentoring to ensure strong operational performance.
• Maintains a high level of food quality in each facility to meet client’s expectations.
• Develops and implements operational policies, procedures, and standards to achieve company goals.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Minimum of 5 - 10 years related experience at a District, Director or General Manager level. A Bachelor's Degree in Dietary Science or Culinary Arts, Food Services, or Hotel/Restaurant Management is HIGHLY desirable. Must have a proven record of accomplishment of success in driving performance within a multi-unit environment. Compensation: $85 - $95,000 plus bonus, benefits, parking, and excellent career advancement.
