Manager of Partnership Development

Position Summary: 

The Manager of Partnership Development reports to the Director and is responsible for driving sales, primarily through development and management of partnerships with local school and community contacts.  S/he will develop and host on and off site events to increase brand awareness, generate quality customer leads and close a significant amount of individual and group sales. The Manager of Partnership Development should expect to spend at least 60% of their time out of the Center working to close individual and group sales as well as establish and maintain partnerships.  Compensation will include a competitive base salary and a quarterly commission plan tied to sales.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Sell Kaplan Tutoring programs by effectively communicating the value and benefits to prospective customers
  • Lead effective and dynamic sales presentations to students, parents, teachers, administrators and potential business partners
  • Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans
  • Secure and manage accounts with local schools and community organizations
  • Conceive, design and implement local lead generation programs to promote growth and expansion
  • Build relationships with school and district administrators, teachers, community leaders, parents and students
  • Independently analyze ROI from events and partnerships in order to increase revenue
  • Work with Academic Manager to ensure part time staff is effective at all marketing and sales events
  • Work closely with colleagues to constantly improve lead quality and sales conversion

 



Job Requirements

  

  • Bachelors Degree; excellent academic record
  • Passion for sales and marketing and; 1-2 years of outside sales and community marketing experience
  • Enthusiasm for sales and business development; proactive sales approach
  • Maintain enthusiasm while often talking with upwards of 100 people each day
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and passion for impacting the education industry
  • Fearless, competitive and goal oriented
  • Ability to work very independently, create your own schedule and take initiative
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle simultaneous projects
  • Outstanding creative thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to travel extensively within the local area
  • Flexibility to run marketing events occurring during evenings and weekends
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
