Administrative Assistant
GENERAL SUMMARY
To provide general administrative reception support.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES OF ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT:
-
Answer telephone, take messages and/or transfer calls to appropriate individual or department
-
Greet customers and visitors, answer questions and direct them to the appropriate individual or department
-
Assist various departments with administrative needs
-
Coordinate travel for employees
-
Assist in receiving and distributing the mail as needed
-
Create and maintain process documentation for all front desk responsibilities
-
Provide back-up support to mailroom/facilities

Education
Experience

Experience in a property/casualty insurance environment preferred

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Skills

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written or oral form

Strong typing skills

Ability to write simple correspondence

Good oral communication skills required
-
Ability to resolve problems involving standardized situations Physical
-
Occasional bending, reaching, and light physical effort (under 10 pounds) required
