Responsibilities include:

·          Promotion of First Environment’s local greenhouse gas management practice

·          Proposal management

·          Project management

·          Business development and client relations

• Advanced degree in Engineering, Math, Environmental Science, Policy, Law, Business or the Physical Sciences
• 8+ years' experience and expertise in any of the following areas:

·         Greenhouse gas inventory protocols;

·         Corporate greenhouse gas reduction strategies;

·         Domestic and international carbon markets;

·         Regional, state, federal greenhouse gas reduction initiatives;

·         Electricity markets;

·         State/local clean energy policy initiatives;

·         Emerging National legislation;

• Ability to communicate technical information effectively, both orally and in writing
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated marketing capabilities
• Strong leadership skills, outgoing nature, and ability to connect within a large network preferred
• Government experience a major plus
• Team player with a high degree of self motivation

This position requires proven management capabilities, business development experience, and strong technical aptitude.  A major focus of the Chicago office practice is climate change and energy services business.  In addition the position will require the development of the firm’s service areas including  forensic environmental investigation and litigation support, due diligence, management systems, and sustainability.
