Account Executive - Sports Division
THG Sports, the world leader in Corporate Sports Hospitality is currently interviewing for the Account Executive role within the Chicago North American Headquarters, NBC Tower office.
Sales and management experience is definitely a plus, however, we are more interested in hungry, self motivated individuals who have the mental toughness and drive to succeed. We require positive and forward thinking candidates that are willing to adopt the aggressive but highly proven sales process and take advantage of the need for firms/companies to maintain and acquire new business relationships through the excitement of a major sporting event.
Account Executive, in this position, you will be responsible for
- Contacting CEOs, Presidents and Managing Partners from Corporate North America to offer one of our prestigious sporting events. This are big-ticket sales with packages ranging from $50,000 up to $250,000 depending upon what event and level of participation.
- You will be responsible for building a client base by contacting top-level decision makers, in addition to cultivating and maintaining long-term relationships with companies interested in utilizing corporate hospitality services at some of the most sought-after sporting events in the world.
- In this role, you will act as their trusted liaison, presenting various corporate sports hospitality package options, based upon each client's specific business and operational needs.
Following two successful interviews in Chicago, selected candidates will conduct a final interview with the division CEO, Jon Stromberg.

In order to prepare you for this exciting and challenging role; you will take part in our comprehensive training program, which focuses on product knowledge, developing proven, effective sales skills and business development tools.
Account Executive Core Competencies / Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal communications skills and solid relationship-building ability.
- Superb "deal-closing" skills.
- The drive to exceed expectations and outperform your peers.
- Fearless - you should not be intimidated by the challenge of "pitching" a CEO or president of a company about an absolutely VIP corporate sports hospitality experience, in order for them to attend some of the most sought-after sporting events in the world.
- Develop/build your own client base - utilizing proven sales techniques including: research, prospecting, probing, lead generation, cold calling and closing.
- You should be self-motivated, dynamic, and be able to work independently.
- Demonstrate an ability to meet or exceed set sales targets.
- Ability to effectively communicate with senior executives from Fortune 1000 companies.
- Ability to think creatively, independently.
- You should have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, be a self-starter and have a " play to win " attitude.
- You have a passion for overcoming obstacles and have the desire to build a great career in sales.
