Strategic Account Manager - No. CA/Pacific NW

Job Description

Reports to Senior SAM and is Accountable for the BD One Company contracting activity within assigned accounts (IDNs, Direct IDNs, and Distributors affiliated with accounts) in the California/Pacific Northwest market.  Develops and/or implements existing contracts to include appropriate price,  product mix sales volume and ensures compliance levels are achieved.  Works closely with National Accounts, Business Integrators and Regional Business Managers, (and as necessary Directors of Distributor Management) to insure BD sales growth and market share is achieved.  SAM is accountable for the BD One Company sales performance across the Primary BUs within identified key accounts. (Primary Businesses: BD Vacutainer, BD Medical Surgical Systems, BD Diagnostics, BD TriPath,  BD GeneOHM),
 
SAM is Accountable for the successful implementation of the fiscal 'GTM' (Go to Market) strategy for each of the identified Primary Businesses, via an Integrated Business Plan (Gold Sheets).  Accountable for building key relationships with primary contact:  Senior Executive Economic Decision Maker(s) within identified accounts (moving up the Buy/Sell Hierarchy).  To also include other key senior level influencers within identified IDNs, i.e., VP, and/or Dept. Heads: LAB, Infection Control, Nursing, and Risk Management.  As necessary obtain access via key contacts to Sr. Administrators, (CEO, COO, CIO, CFO, CNO).

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree required

A minimum of 5 years sales experience is required

Large account management experience is required

Solution selling experience is preferred

Prior Medical Device experience is preferred but not required

Proficiency in Excel is required
