To provide the highest level of client service, McGladrey has established the Technology Risk Management Services group, comprised of more than 100 professionals dedicated exclusively to serving the technology risk related needs of our clients. This group includes experienced consultants helps clients select, improve, control, secure, manage and monitor the appropriate systems to address their information needs.  By centralizing the highly skilled and specialized technology consulting personnel, we are able to provide our clients with the most knowledgeable resources available.  We serve a diverse base of clients in a variety of industries, and understanding how technology impacts the operation and growth of organizations is what we do best.

Responsibilities

- Managing the existing Technology Risk Advisory Team in Des Moines  
- Developing and Networking with our existing and new clients 
- Ability to grow and develop the team  
- Analyzing and evaluating information technology (IT) security risks and controls
- Performing financial audit support, SOX reviews of IT controls, general IT control reviews, Service Organization Control (SOC) engagements, and PCI assessments
- Implementing solutions based on control weaknesses
- Developing policies and procedures as it relates to information systems controls
- Participating in IT strategy planning

Job Requirements


- Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting, MIS, or related
- Supervisory or Management experience in a BIG 4 or Consulting enviornment  
- 5+ years experience with performing IT audits, IT controls, security testing, information security assessments
- Experience with an accounting or consulting firm preferred
- Strong verbal and written abilities
- Strong multitasking and project management skills
- Experience in supervising staff on engagements
- Ability to travel overnight up to 40%, depending on client locations in surrounding states

 

Preferred Qualifications

- CISA,  CISSP or CPA certifications (or the willingness to obtain within the near future)
- Banking, healthcare, retail or manufacturing industry experience
- Big Four or other consulting background
- Knowledgeable regarding Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Payment Card Industry (PCI), and SOC
- Must possess a high degree of integrity and confidentiality, as well as the ability to adhere to both company policies and best practices
