Job Description

Looking to work with youth and make a difference in a child's life?  We are recruiting a full-time Direct Care Professional for our Group Homes in Tucson, AZ.  Group Care provides a family environment and cares for children and teens until they transition into a home, long-term foster care or independent living.



Join our team as a full-time DIRECT CARE PROFESSIONAL (DCP) for our youth group homes in Tucson.  Pay Range: $9.75-$11.27/hr depending on education/experience, plus $0.50 shift differential for evening and overnight shifts. 

SCHEDULE: Evenings: 2:00pm-10:00pm (Days to be determined). 

What does this shift typically look like?

- Shift changeover will be conducted first to communicate any issues or concerns of clients. 

- Check on each client a minimum of every 15 minutes.  The staff documents each check in the overnight log. 

- Document all client activity through the night (unable to sleep, up to use the restroom, etc). 

- Work on file audits, service plan documentation, food count and inventory, as well as a checklist of other nightly checks and tasks.

**All shifts are required to document behaviors and interactions for all clients during each shift, so a large part of the time will be spent completing progress notes and weekly/monthly summaries.

Job Requirements

-HS diploma or GED required (Bachelors degree in Psychology, Social Work or relevant field preferred).

-Minimum one (1) year experience working in behavioral health required (preferably with children/adolescents with behavioral/emotional issues).

-Proficient computer skills required.


Physical Requirements:  Pre-employment Physical required. Significant and frequent amounts of walking, sitting, stooping, bending & standing required. Frequent planned, outside activities causing exposure to sunlight and heat.  Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes. Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc. Good manual dexterity.
