The instructional design specialist is responsible for curriculum design and development of assigned training projects. Specialist:

*Actively contributes to the achievement of project and organizational goals and objectives
*Approaches work through collaboration and consultation
*Effectively applies learning and change theories to work
*Is expert in performing all education and training functions
*Serves as an internal consultant and resource to trainers ensuring the delivery of quality instruction
*Successfully functions independently and as a member of designated teams

EDUCATION: Master's Degree in Education Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Communication, Adult Learning or related field; Train The Trainer Certification/applicable train the trainer certifications; Project Management, MSO

EXPERIENCE: 5-7 years Professional Education Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Communication, Adult Learning or related field; 4-5 years Technical Education Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Communication, Adult Learning or related field

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Strong knowledge of MS Office tools, eLearning authoring software, adult learning principles,curriculum design and development for classroom and on-line learning; superior written and verbal communication; project management; group facilitation.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in a medical field preferred, but not required
• Proficient with eLearning development software, such as Captivate and Lectora
• Experience using WebEx for training purposes
• Advanced instructional design skills
• Project management experience (project management certification preferred)
