Job Description

TITLE: QUALITY ASSURANCE INSPECTOR  I  & II

LOCATION: Marysville

PAY: DOE

SHIFT: Days

DURATION: Temp To Hire

HIRING DATE: Immediately

 

Report directly to Lead and/or Supervisor. Position involves interaction with all departments.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

  • Performs quality control inspections, audits, and tests during the manufacture of products using basic and complex quality inspection methods and tools.
  • Inspects materials, parts, and products at different stages of production.
  • Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes.
  • Determine adherence to engineering and customer specifications.
  • Coordinate with management and shop personnel on related product quality problems and expedite solutions in a timely manner
  • Keeps accurate SPC charts and graphs when applicable.
  • Perform process capability studies when applicable
  • Perform first article inspection reports
  • Use computer to document quality records, first article reports, and other quality related materials.
  • Perform all other duties, as assigned.
  • Include a thorough understanding and correct use of measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other commonly used instruments for measuring.

 

Required Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints
  • Strong math skills
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel)
  • Experience working with standard quality inspection tools, including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, height gages, gage pins

 

  • Working in a loud manufacturing environment, safety glasses, ear protection, and steel toed boots are required.
  • Exposure to a limited number of chemicals, including water soluble, oil based machine fluids, soap solutions, cutting fluids and oils. Handles oily parts. 

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 12 months experience as a quality inspector or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a machine shop environment preferred
