Financial Services of America/FSA
began operation in 1981, assisting young adults with insurance needs and retirement savings plans. By the early 1990’s, we became aware that many people at or near retirement age were lacking some of the basic financial information and services relevant to their unique situation. This section of the population was not receiving proper solutions to address their changing risk tolerance and tax situation.
For this reason, we redirected our efforts in 1993 to educate and inform America’s retired workers, as well as those near retirement, about the unique tax strategies and risk management techniques designed exclusively for this growing segment of our population. As part of our commitment to our nations retirees, we helped create America's Professional Services Association, Inc. (APSA). This association provides not only discounts to numerous businesses in Southeast Michigan, but also provides educational literature on the specific needs of our retired population.
Since our beginning, we have grown into one of the nation’s leading independent providers of financial strategies and can boast of a senior management staff with over 200 combined years of experience and leadership at Financial Services of America, Inc.
Financial Services of America, Inc. is an independent company which searches the financial industry in order to discover strategies which assist our clients in reaching their financial objectives. Our purpose is to identify each client’s specific goals and objectives; and to offer strategies to accomplish these wishes through our network of affiliated companies.
Our account executives are eligible for numerous benefits, including a health insurance reimbursement plan, stock options, and incentive-based trips.
Communication is key to our company’s success. FSA provides information through various media, including our regular client newsletter, and “Retirement Rules to Live and Die By,” a book authored by FSA President Richard David James. Throughout the year, FSA also sponsors a number of special events for our clients and FSA associates.

Our mission is to bring peace of mind to our clients by using an un-biased, educational approach in order to provide the guidance necessary for making sound financial decisions for themselves and their families.
FSA's clients are the foundation of our business and receive our most courteous and attentive treatment. We recommend only proven, time-tested solutions to help our clients reach their specific objectives. We are especially considerate of our clients’ need to maintain their financial independence. That is why we diligently work to protect our clients’ assets from excessive fees, unnecessary taxes and potential market losses.
Inflation, changing tax laws, fluctuating interest rates, and a variety of financial products add up to a complex financial environment. Old ways of protecting retirement assets are no longer effective and many people can easily get lost in the maze of new information.
These financial objectives, however must still be attained:
Reduce income taxes
Eliminate Social Security taxes
Eliminate probate expenses
Protect retirement assets from market losses
Eliminate unnecessary insurance expenses
Overcome inflation’s effect on CDs and savings accounts
