Overview

Indiana Tech was founded in Fort Wayne, Ind., in 1930 as a small engineering college for men. Since then it has grown into a more comprehensive coed, private university with programs in engineering, computer sciences, business, criminal justice, elementary education, and more. With a commitment to relationship-based education, academic programs are designed to offer students hands-on opportunities to learn practical skills for success in their chosen careers.

The university serves a diverse student body with a traditional program at the main campus just east of downtown Fort Wayne and non-traditional programs offered through the College of Professional Studies at locations throughout Indiana and online. Enrollment includes about 1,200 students in the traditional program and about 5,000 students in the College of Professional Studies.

The university’s core purpose is to provide career-focused, professional programs of higher education. In pursuing this goal, Indiana Tech is committed to five core values:
