Peoplefirst Taking Important Part in Joint Replacement Research
What care should joint replacement patients receive? Three nursing centers operated by Kindred Healthcare -- Greenbriar Terrace in New Hampshire, Crosslands Rehabilitation and Health Center in Utah, and Valley Gardens in California -- have joined the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) in Washington, DC, and the Institute for Clinical Outcomes Research (ICOR) in Salt Lake City, in a two-year study to find out.
At Kindred Healthcare, we embrace a diverse workforce and understand that our caregivers are critical partners in the mental and physical healing process. Whether they are nurses, technicians, dietitians, aides or physical therapists, they develop caring relationships with our patients and residents, celebrating their milestones as if they were members of the family. This special calling requires special people.
We embrace a diverse workforce that provides services to thousands of patients and residents in approximately 560 facilities in 39 states. Kindred Healthcare’s hospitals offer a level of expertise and experience necessary to care for medically complex patients. Our hospitals are designed to allow our healthcare professionals the time and resources for monitoring and clinical analysis of patients. The Hospital Division consists of more than 80 long-term acute care hospitals in 23 states.
The care delivered in our nursing centers includes daily nursing, pharmacy, dietary and social services for all residents and patients as well as a range of resident and patient-specific services and care options, including wound care, hospice care, and care for residents with some form of Alzheimer’s and related dementia. Our Health Services Division operates more than 220 nursing centers in 27 states.
Peoplefirst Rehabilitation, our rehabilitation division, staffs and manages the rehabilitation departments in our hospitals and nursing centers in addition to non-Kindred facilities. These contract therapy services include physical, occupational and speech therapies.
Kindred Healthcare believes in “taking care of our people” so they can take care of our patients, residents and customers. Our success as a company flows naturally from the quality of care we provide.
