Overview
Matura Farrington Staffing Services, Inc. was founded in 1994 as an exclusively “direct hire” recruiting firm specializing in the placement of legal staff. For the next five years we built a solid reputation in the Los Angeles legal and corporate communities for providing a level of service not typical of the standard staffing firm; a personalized, honest, and professional approach became our signature. Based on our successful business model and our experience and expertise in direct hire recruiting, in 1999 we expanded our company to include a temporary division in order to meet all of the hiring needs requested by our clients.

Today, we are proud to offer our clients, which includes local and national law firms, Fortune 500 corporations, and Los Angeles-based companies, a complete and comprehensive staffing service with a commitment and dedication to quality recruiting that is above the traditional employment agency. Since 1994, our team of professional recruiters is credited with helping our company build its client base. Benefits
Matura Farrington is proud to offer a competitive and comprehensive benefits package to our team of outstanding temporary employees:
  • Parking – we reimburse for daily parking expenses up to $5.00 per day.
  • Retention Bonus – our temporary employees are eligible for retention bonus of 40 hours pay upon the completion of 1,500 hours of assignment employment within a 52-week period.
  • Profit Sharing – our temporary employees who work more than 1000 hours per year may be eligible for our plan.
  • Holiday Pay – We pay holiday pay for 6 major holidays. Employees are eligible when:
  • 1,200 assignment hours are accrued within the preceding 52 week period
  • Referral Bonus - We offer a $50.00 referral bonus for any candidates referred after the referral has completed 80 hours of temporary work through Matura Farrington Staffing Services.

Temporary Services

Temporary support has become an integral part of both law firms and corporations across the country. The advantages of using temporary help are endless. The major benefits include cost reduction, the ability to downsize or ramp-up the existing work force, and limiting the legal and financial liability in the event of disciplinary action and/or dismissal. Using a temporary service to assist with daily changes in staffing such as vacations, sick leave, and general leave of absence can enhance the flexibility and responsiveness to the internal demands of a firm or company. A temporary service can also prove invaluable when major projects such as technology conversions, mergers, and major trials are looming, also known as “ramping-up.”

Whether a firm’s temporary needs are on an “as needs” basis, or the need to “ramp-up” is in order, our Company will dedicate a staff member to the account and projects. We will consult with a client on strategic staffing options. A defined plan will be designed with the client and put into action. It will be closely monitored throughout the project and modified as required by changes in the project’s objectives. Feedback and evaluations from a client during and after the completion of the project is critical to the overall success of our services.

Temp-to-Hire has increasingly become a popular and valuable way to find the “ideal” fit for an organization. It allows an employer a time period to accurately assess a candidate’s competency and compatibility, and how that employee assimilates into the work environment. Likewise, the employee can make the same observations of the employer and ascertain their own level of satisfaction with the management style and work ethic


Direct Hire Services

Direct hire recruiting is the foundation of a staffing agency. It is through quality recruiting that an agency builds its inventory of candidates for both direct hire and temporary placements. Our goal is to ensure that every candidate has a positive and professional experience with our agency. This is achieved by finding the balance between candidate and client.

Matura Farrington Staffing Services excels in recruiting, screening, and placing legal and corporate professionals at all levels. We identify new candidates through a number of sources: traditional recruiting, a comprehensive database, targeted advertising, and client and candidate referrals. These candidates then become our resource pool for our clients.

To match these candidates with clients, we rely on our internal staff that is comprised of experienced recruiters who are responsible for each step of the hiring process. They work directly with clients to fully comprehend a client’s staffing needs and the specifics of the particular position or staffing project. Our recruiters will then develop and implement a recruiting strategy, identify candidates that match the requirements of the position, and cross match the position to meet the requirements of the candidate.

The recruiting process then focuses on the specific needs of the candidate. We believe a candidate’s requirements are as important as a client’s. Resumes and test scores are only 50% of the placement equation; a candidate’s values, motives, and goals must be equally evaluated before making a recommendation to a client. When a candidate’s competency and compatibility closely matches a client’s, the resume is presented. Using this method has assisted our firm in successfully meeting our clients’ direct hire staffing needs for years!
