Western Highlands Network provides mental health, substance abuse, and developmental disability services in eight counties of western NC - Buncombe, Henderson, Madison, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Transylvania, and Yancey counties.

Employees must work at least 50% to be eligible for some fringe benefits. Personal Time Off: Employees of WHN earn PTO on an accrual basis. PTO includes vacation, parent involvement in school leave, funeral leave, appointments and/or personal business. PTO will be earned as follows:

Western Highlands will ensure the development and management of a comprehensive network of community services and supports for people with mental illness, substance abuse, and developmental disabilities. Western Highlands will link the individuals and families with services and supports to allow them to live successfully in their communities.

Western Highlands will work in partnership with consumers, providers, and communities to coordinate quality services based on best practices and fiscal soundness, which meet the needs of consumers and their families.
