Mission

A Christian mission of hope, health and healing

The guiding principles for all we do are embodied in our relationship with:

Our God
This organization is founded on the Seventh-day Adventist legacy of Christian health care. Serving the people who are sick and hurting is our response to a loving God who gave us the example of meeting physical, mental and spiritual needs.

Our Neighbors
As responsible stewards of the resources entrusted to us, we work in collaboration with the people in our communities to provide appropriate services that contribute positively to their quality of life.

Those We Serve
We strive to create for those whom we serve a beneficial environment of friendly, compassionate, extraordinary care that promotes comfort and healing.

Our Associates
We respect the cultural diversity and contribution that employees, medical staffs, volunteers, vendors, business partners and the many others associated with our organization bring to the workplace, and conduct our business and work relationships with fairness and integrity.
Education
The mission of Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center's Education Department is to facilitate the educational development of our staff by enabling them to achieve the level of competency required to meet and/or exceed our customer's needs. This development is achieved through individualized competency-based orientation, ongoing in-services and continuing education. In addition, the Education Department maintains a library of self-learning modules, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Cardiac Life Support Simulators, and NetLearning, a computer-based learning environment. The Education Department is a provider for Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Radiology, Social Work, and Laboratory continuing education.
