Culture
NorthEast Treatment Centers (NET)
is one of the oldest and largest behavioral health and social services agencies in both the state of Delaware and the greater Philadelphia region. NET was organized in 1970 to serve children and adolescents who were having behavioral and learning problems at school. The services provided helped the youth to have a safe place to attend school, with very small classes and with persons who were trained in behavioral intervention. The staff working with the youth soon discovered that alcohol and drugs were playing a part in learning difficulties and oppositional behaviors. Seeing the need to treat the clients in a more holistic way, NET was licensed as a treatment center for substance abusing youth and later for adults as well. From that small beginning, NET has continued to seek out unmet needs among the populations of Philadelphia and the state of Delaware. NET has grown significantly and now includes a continuum of programs to treat children, adolescents, adults, and families. Click Here
