Lexicon Staffing's medical benefit package provides you with affordable health insurance that also includes dental, and Rx coverage. Once you have been employed with Lexicon for 30 days you will become eligible for our medical benefits package, which is through Providence Health Plan. Additional opportunities to join the program are available during our open enrollment every June.
A Simple IRA is an employer-provided and sponsored retirement plan, like the 401(k). Similar to a 401(k) plan, the Simple IRA is funded by a pretax salary reduction. Like other salary reduction contributions, these deductions are subject to social security and medicare taxes. The contribution limits for an individual in 2009 is $11,500 and $14,000 for individuals over the age of 50. Lexicon Staffing contributes to the Simple IRA account each year. You are eligible to begin contributing to this plan after a year of employment with Lexicon Staffing.
Cafeteria plans use pre-tax dollars to pay for medical and life insurance benefits. Contributions are not subject to federal income tax, Social Security, or Medicare taxes. In simple terms, the deduction made for health insurance is taken from your gross salary and then the remainder is what is taxed. Lexicon Staffing offers this plan with our health insurance benefits.
Lexicon Staffing provides a supplemental insurance policy through AFLAC. Choose from a wide range of insurance policies that can help complement your major medical insurance with health events—from accidents, to intensive care, to life insurance. AFLAC’s tax advantaged plans allow our employees to use pre-tax dollars to pay for certain benefit costs. With AFLAC policies there are no deductibles, co-payments, doctor networks or pre-authorized requirements. Employees are paid directly, usually within four days, to help cover expenses such as rent, child care and other expenses not covered by major medical insurance.

Lexicon Staffing recognizes six paid holidays per year. You qualify for holiday pay if: 1) you work 500 hours (excluding overtime) in 16 consecutive weeks ending one full week prior to the holiday week; 2) you are on a Lexicon assignment the week of the holiday; and 3) you work the scheduled workday before and after the holiday. Pay for a holiday is in accordance with your current rate of pay. Holidays recognized by Lexicon Staffing are New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
DIRECT DEPOSIT WITH WEEKLY PAY
Pay day is every Friday! Lexicon Staffing uses direct deposit as their primary form of payment. Your net pay will automatically be deposited into your checking or savings account every Friday. In the event that a holiday lands on a Friday, your check will be deposited the previous business day. Direct deposit is simple; it places money directly in your account and saves you that trip to the bank!
If you don’t have access to a bank account, Lexicon Staffing offers a Visa Debit branded payroll card. This card allows you to have your paycheck directly deposited and securely stored, giving you access to your money when YOU want it, at millions of ATMs and merchant locations worldwide. There is a low monthly fee for the access card, and all purchases and cash back transactions are FREE.
MEDICAL SAVINGS PLAN
This plan is not an insurance plan. It is a service and savings benefit program that gives you important savings on everything from hospital stays, to prescription drugs, contact lenses, doctor visits, and much more. There is also an Ask-A-Nurse line where you can call to receive health and wellness information directly from registered nurses, counselors, and dieticians – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can also call for eldercare recommendations of home helpers in the area or questions about nursing homes in your area. This plan has many great benefits for a low monthly fee.
