University Hospitals and Centerre Healthcare have joined
together in a partnership to build a $17 million, 50,000-square-feet, 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Beachwood, which is slated to open in March 2013. The joint venture hospital will be on Harvard Road, less than two miles from UH's new, $298 million Ahuja Medical Center. The new rehabilitation hospital and Centerre Healthcare will employ approximately 150 staff, providing physical, occupational and speech language therapy for patients recovering from neurological, orthopaedic and cardiac conditions and other traumatic injuries.
