HollyFrontier Corporation, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, is an independent petroleum refiner and marketer that produces high value light products such as gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel and other specialty products. HollyFrontier operates through its subsidiaries a 135,000 barrels per stream day ("bpsd") refinery located in El Dorado, Kansas, a 125,000 bpsd refinery in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a 100,000 bpsd refinery located in Artesia, New Mexico, a 52,000 bpsd refinery located in Cheyenne, Wyoming and a 31,000 bpsd refinery in Woods Cross, Utah. CheyenneRefinery The Cheyenne Refinery islocated in Cheyenne, Wyoming and has a crude oil capacity of 52,000 barrels perday with the complexity to convert a wide variety of crude oils into a highpercentage of light products. Crude oil is purchased from local producers,including the nearby Niobrara and Bakkenformations and is also imported via theExpress Pipeline from Canada. Cheyenne refined products are primarilymarketed in the eastern slope of the Rocky Mountain region, which encompasseseastern Colorado (including the Denver metropolitan area), eastern Wyoming, andwestern Nebraska.
ElDorado Refinery The El Dorado Refinery islocated in El Dorado, Kansas and is one of the largest refineries in the PlainsStates and Rocky Mountain region with a crude oil capacity of 135,000 barrelsper day. The El Dorado Refinery can select from many different types of crudeoil due to its direct pipeline access to the Cushing, Oklahoma hub, which isconnected by pipelines to the Gulf Coast, Canada and a majority of U.S. crudeproduction. This crude oil access, combined with the refinery's complexity,gives it the flexibility to refine a wide variety of crude oils. ElDorado refined products are marketed primarily throughout the Plains States andeastern slope of the Rocky Mountain region, which encompasses eastern Colorado(including the Denver metropolitan area) and eastern Wyoming.
NavajoRefinery The Navajo Refinery islocated in Artesia, New Mexico and has a crude oil capacity of 100,000 barrelsper day with the flexibility and complexity to process heavy crude oil, sourcrude oil and light sweet crude oil. The refinery is in close proximity to WestTexas crude supply and also has direct pipeline access to the wide variety ofcrude oils in Cushing, Oklahoma, including Canadian crudes. Navajorefined products are marketed primarily in the southwestern United States andnorthern Mexico.
TulsaRefinery The Tulsa Refinery islocated in Tulsa, Oklahoma and has a crude oil capacity of 125,000 barrels perday. The Tulsa Refinery primarily processes sweet crude oils, butcan also process sour crude oils and sits adjacent to Cushing, Oklahoma, thelargest crude oil trading hub in the U.S. Tulsa refined products aremarketed primarily throughout the midcontinent region of the United States. TheTulsa Refinery also manufactures lubricants and specialty waxes, includinglubricating oils (base, blended and process oils), waxes, horticultural oilsand asphalt modifiers, which are marketed by Holly Lubricants.
WoodsCross RefineryThe Woods Cross Refinery is located just north of Salt Lake City, Utah and hasa crude oil capacity of 31,000 barrels per day. The Woods Cross Refineryis a high conversion refinery that has advantaged access to regional sweet andblack wax crudes as well as pipeline access to Canadian crude oils. WoodsCross refined products are marketed primarily in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Wyomingand eastern Washington.
HollyFrontier owns a 34% interest, including the 2%general partnership interest, in Holly Energy Partners, L.P. (NYSE: HEP), amaster limited partnership that owns and operates petroleum logistics assetsincluding pipelines, terminals and tankage throughout the midcontinent. Through subsidiaries, HEP owns or leases approximately 2,500 miles of petroleumproduct and crude oil gathering pipelines in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma andUtah.
