In 1984, the company launched the franchising concept, which would accelerate the expansion to over 1200 locations nationwide. Today, Miracle-Ear is the largest retailer of hearing aids in the United States, ranked #38 out of 500 Franchise Systems by the Entrepreneur Magazine Franchise 500 publication.

In 1999, Miracle-Ear joined Amplifon and, as a result, became part of the global leader in hearing services, products and research.
