Genoa, a QoL Healthcare


In April 2002 the first prescription at Genoa was filled in the back room of a little independent pharmacy in Renton, WA. At this time we were a clozapine management company. By working with clozapine clients Genoa discovered the special medication needs of the mental health population. Genoa learned these needs were not being met by outside pharmacies, so CEO Kevin Martyn decided to create a pharmacy that would meet the needs of the people who work hard to take care of those with mental illness.

Genoa first started opening our closed- door pharmacies in the Pacific Northwest in clinics that were in need of dedicated, specialized pharmacy services. Interest began to spread across the country as other mental health organizations and clinics learned of the services we provide. In 2003 Genoa began expanding this unique pharmacy service across the nation.
