SmartSource is seeking a Senior Services Technician for a contract to hire opportunity located in Dublin, CA.

Pay Rate: $32/hr

Role: We are seeking a Sr. Services Technician for a 3-6 month temp to hire opportunity located in Dublin CA. This position usually works independently with minimal supervision. There is no signing authority and the IT Manager verifies expenses and all invoices. The position reports to the IT Manager but may take direction from IT staff as required. This exciting and dynamic fulltime employment opportunity requires a strong blend of technical excellence and superior soft skills. The technician in this position requires moderate supervision; plans, evaluates and supports infrastructure. As an IT specialist provides resolution for advanced systems problems. Actively participates in global projects supporting the infrastructure implementation. Leads multi-location projects where requested by the Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs first and second level support activities, including but not limited to the following:
• Telephone and in-person support to clients
• Support training room facility
• Receives and accommodates notebook requests according to Policy and procedures, tracks notebook distribution, allocation and timely returns from repair depot
• Ability to perform advanced computer troubleshooting and machine rebuilds
• Responsible for tracking and security of fixed assets; asset tagging, random and annual inventory, EMR (equipment master record) updates in database
• Troubleshoot complex printer, server and network issues
• Perform Account Representative Role meeting with Line of Business assistants and leaders. Gathers data and works towards resolution
• Adheres to standard client’s EUS policies, escalates issues appropriately, and utilizes tools provided for issue tracking and change management
• Leads multi-location projects, acts as a resource for other regional projects

Qualifications:
• Must pass a drug and criminal background check before starting
• Minimum Associates Degree, preferred Bachelors Degree.
• Minimum of two years work experience.
• Advanced knowledge of computers (PC and MAC)
• Advanced knowledge of Servers, PBX, Networks
• Advanced understanding of office software applications in a Windows environment (e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of computer security products
• Effective, fast keyboarding skills
• Ability to accept new challenges, develop skills/knowledge
• Analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills
• Ability to escalate issues appropriately
• Excellent communication skills - oral and written
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to organize workload, ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
• Results oriented with ability to meet deadlines
• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
