Job Description

SmartSource is seeking a Support Technician for a 6+ month opportunity located in Walnut Creek, CA.



Job Type: Contract

Duration: 6 months

Location: Walnut Creek, CA 94598

Hours: 8:30AM – 5:30PM

Pay Rate: $20/hour



Role: We are seeking a Support Technician for a 6+ month opportunity located in Walnut Creek CA. The responsibilities are as follows:



Assist with the creation of an “IT Depot” utilizing our server room (that has barely any servers in it)

Sort, organize, inventory, dispose of existing equipment (there are old machines, wires, parts, peripherals that need to be dealt with)

Organize shipping process for inbound and outbound laptops and peripherals

Perform and document post production system build activities (refresh process for old laptops, new pc’s out of box) for deployment and refine and maintain a documented procedure

Qualifications:



Must be able to pass a criminal and drug test in order to qualify for the position

3+ years’ experience working in the IT Field.

Must have solid hardware troubleshooting background with Desktops, Laptops, Tablets and Printers

Must have solid Depot background troubleshooting computer related hardware

Must be able to lift 50lbs without any issue.

Must be able to document items so the person chose must have good hand written skills.

Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
