Job Description

3106, THERMOFORMING PROCESSING:  MI location.  Within a reasonable drive of Midland,  internationally accredited plastic packaging company offers a secure and rewarding career to the individual with a solid technical background with “inline" thermoforming. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will work to improve tooling, machines and process with the goal of producing high quality product with the highest efficiency in the overall process. 
  • You will work with engineers on new or existing tool designs and materials and generate thermoformed samples for new product development. 
  • You will test new tools, equipment and materials and document test results and you will continuously evaluate both the process and equipment to improve cycle times, scrap reduction and improved efficiencies. 
  • Additionally, you will generate calculations needed to predict and verify process parameters.
  • Other duties would included assisting in the layout and installation of thermoforming and tooling systems, starting up and debugging new equipment and leading the setup and startup of new tooling/products.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requirements include an Associate’s degree, 3 plus years of experience within a light gauge thermoforming operation (inline strongly preferred), and possess strong troubleshooting skills.
