Job Description

Job Title: Site Controller

[Libarty Group, a premium executive search firm, serves client companies across North America in the packaging industry and related fields ... ]

This $1billion North American CPG manufacturer, the industry leader in its primary market segment, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Accountant for its largest North American cereal grain mill.  The position is located in Texas.

This Senior Accountant is a key partner with the senior management team in assuring operational excellence, second-to-none customer satisfaction, and optimum profitability.  The position reports to the site controller.  She/he provides the financial detail and analysis by which critical operating decisions are made.  A background in manufacturing finance and accounting, and inventory control, is essential.

We seek someone who brings a blend of strategic thinking with tactical operations savvy ... and a track record of contributing to high-impact results.  He or she must be effective in prioritizing time demands without close oversight ... and seasoned in the classic aspects of manufacturing accounting including month and year-end close, standard costing for operational control and planning, and inventory reconciliation.  This person enjoys a roll-up-the-sleeves environment, regular interaction with the manufacturing team … and equally at ease walking through the numbers, whether at the 500’ level with a shift crew to help them understand how numbers capture behavior on the floor, or at the 10,000’ level in the operations conference room with senior staff contrasting monthly results with plan.

This person should be groom-able for a Site Controller position in 3-5 years.
