Job Description

FIRST CALL PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IS LOOKING TO FILL A HUMAN RESOURCE GENERALIST

 POSITION FOR A MANUFACTURING FACILITY IN
GREENFIELD, IN.

The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for managing tactical employee relation issues, recruitment, compensation, and benefits. In addition, the incumbent will assist the HR and Plant Managers with training & organizational development initiatives.  The Human Resource Generalist is also responsible for timely and accurate completion of departmental reports and record keeping. 

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  •  Generate ideas for and champion employee relations activities to foster positive employee morale and interaction. Spend time walking the production floor, facilitate conflict resolution and provide coaching and feedback to employees and line supervisors as appropriate.

   

  • Participate in various aspects of safety, including conducting job safety analyses, addressing root cause of safety incidents and participating in safety audits.

 

  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate various training programs.

 

  • Coordinate hourly and salaried recruiting , conduct on-boarding and new hire orientation.

 

  • Partner with HR Manager to review positions and determine the need for job description and/or salary grade changes. Process hourly and salary compensation adjustments and other changes via HRIS system.

  • ADP time keeping system

Job Requirements

  • Recruitment and Development experience of at least two years
  • Bachelors degree in related field
  • 1 - 5 years experience in human resource environment.
  • Knowledge of EEO laws, Workers’ Compensation practices, benefits, ISO, Insurance, Payroll, and safety programs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, self-motivated, outgoing pleasant personality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of MS Word and Excel applications.
  • Must be able to deal with associates in all areas of business while practicing confidentially.

Would prefer experience in a Japanese automotive manufacturing facility.
