Sr. Instructional Designer

Job Description

A Fortune 500 consumer goods company, headquartered in Atlanta, is currently seeking multiple Sr. Instructional Designer for long term contracts. This are immediate openings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, and evaluates training programs
  • Utilizes adult learning techniques in the development and delivery of training plans and curriculum. 
  • Selects appropriate instructional procedures or methods in the development of training, and uses various software applications to assemble, manipulate, and format information and presentations.
  • Estimates project scope, timelines, resource requirements, and constraints/risks.
  • Assists with the formulation of training policies and procedures that support team and company goals.
  • Helps facilitate internal training events.
  • Assists with the organization and development of training manuals, learner testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids and other educational materials.
  • Compiles data, analyzes past and current year's training requirements and programs, and provides reports and recommendations that improve and/or supplement company training goals.
  • Helps facilitate internal and client training events.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements
  • BA or BS degree; or a combination of relevant education and equivalent experience
  • 5+ years as an instructional designer working with technical content (software, hardware).  
  • Demonstrated understanding of the theories of adult learning.
  • Proven expertise in writing and communication:  Must be able to create content that distills complex concepts and lengthy processes in accurate, concise, and easy-to-understand written communications.
  • Proficient with variety of industry tools, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Captivate.
  • Ability to independently seek and obtain information from a variety of sources and mediums.  
  • Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly changing environment
  • Displays a resilient and adaptable style; has a track record of remaining calm in demanding circumstances, adjusting comfortably to changing conditions/priorities. Demonstrates a “can do" attitude.
