Experience and/or Qualifications:
This position requires 5+ years’ experience as a project manager implementing and supporting business technology solutions:
- ERP, with customizations and 3rd-party solutions
- Reporting/Planning/Analysis systems
- Industry-specific line of business solutions, e.g. commodity management, ecommerce, etc.
Ensure project execution occurs according to company standards and guidelines
Familiarity and comfort level working within a manufacturing environment
Drive the project teams & coordinate between team members to flush out dependencies internally as well as with external teams
Facilitate project meetings to ensure defined agenda and consistent action plans
Communicate project status to all stakeholders on a consistent basis and ensure stakeholders understand the accurate progress
Escalate risks and issues to the appropriate level to enable the team to continue execution
Conduct and gather project retrospectives at project end to ensure best practices and key learnings are captured and utilized in future projects where appropriate
Gather change requests and escalate as necessary with the Business Project Manager associated with that particular project
Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously within strict time and budget constraints
Strong business analysis and critical thinking skills to assess requirements and determine appropriate course of action.
Ability to make decisions under pressure and to exercise appropriate judgment to take action or call for assistance when necessary.
Ability to write clearly and create functional documentation regarding design, development, testing and maintenance processes and procedures
Ability to collaborate and build consensus with team members that have no direct reporting relationship to the project manager
Familiarity with infrastructure technologies: Enterprise Networking (WAN, LAN), Virtualization, Windows client/server, remote office, cloud-based technologies, data centers, collaboration tools, MS-SQL, telecom/VOIP, SAN and other data storage
General and Customer Support
PC skills in Microsoft Office applications sufficient to create documentation, maintain spreadsheets and develop basic presentations
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to coordinate and organize activities between teams and various levels of management
Strong skillset toward business requirements gathering and analysis
Ability to translate business/functional to technical requirements
Ability to work independently fixing problems
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or demonstrated IT experience. Other degrees acceptable if sufficient experience and skill.
