Position Title: Support Technician
Start Date: August 25th or August 27th
Role: Customer is seeking a Support Technician for a 1-2 month opportunity that could go longer term working onsite at their customer in Hamilton NJ. (The customer envisions 40 hours per week, but will be cautious and say 40 hour for the first 3-4 weeks, then the remaining weeks will be 24-40 hours each, based off customer needs)The role of this opportunity will be to provide daily support on the Desktop level. This will be both hardware and software support. The job will be mostly hands on but over the phone support will be required as well for remote users. The environment is Microsoft Windows based software while the hardware will be repair and troubleshooting of Desktops and Laptops. The candidates chosen must be technically sound, well versed and must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Must be able to pass a criminal and drug test in order to qualify for the position
2-3 years experience working in the IT Field.
SOLID background troubleshooting users in a Microsoft Windows environment. Experience with XP/Windows 7 specifically
SOLID background troubleshooting hardware issues with Desktops and Laptops (HP/Lenovo Are Preferred)
Experience with ticketing systems such as Remedy is highly preferred
Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
