Senior Support Technician

Job Description

Job Description: SmartSource is in need of a Sr. Support Technician for a 3-6 Month opportunity located in Alpharetta GA. This position is to provide interface from our client’s information technology group to designated manufacturing facilities throughout the southwest and potentially several sites in California. The primary purpose of this position is to monitor, manage, promote and support computing technology and standards, policies and procedures. This position will be based at our client’s Houston corporate office location and will require occasional travel to manufacturing facilities within the designated region.


- Supports a wide variety of applications.?

- Implements and maintains various peripherals and network attached devices

- Helping with the Design, Installation, and Maintenance of Computer networks for customers

- Accurately diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment as well as accessories in optimum operating condition.

- Explain repairs completed to the customers and how the customer can prevent it from occurring.

- Keep current with new technology through manufacturers classes, computer based training, and etc.


- Must pass a drug and criminal background check before starting

- Strong communication and documentation skills: ability to document various technical solutions.

- Ability to work and organize information from multiple projects.

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Ability to work proficiently in AD

- Knowledge of WAN and LAN infrastructure: including delivery of circuits MPLS and IVPN, Cisco routers, network access controllers, ICE, and Cisco Aps

- Technically proficient in gApps.

- Capable of mastering GUDSIS and concepts for provisioning •Functional knowledge of MDM (Mobile Iron)

- Basic telecom knowledge

- Mid-level technical proficiency in AD, SCCM, Symantec AV console.

- Package testing with app owners and key users

- Schedule and manage Pilot deployments of applications before mass roll out

- Create SCCM collections

- Must have excellent customer service background.
