SmartSource is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a 2+ month opportunity located in Syracuse, NY.



Job Type: Contract

Duration: 2+ months

Location: Syracuse, NY 13202

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30AM – 5:30PM

Start Date: 6/2/15

Pay Rate: $20/hour

Dress Attire: PROFESSIONAL-SHIRT & TIE EVERY DAY NO EXCEPTIONS



Role: We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a 2+ month opportunity located in Syracuse NY. Position will start around June 2nd. This is an opportunity working for a very large technology company onsite at a leading Insurance company. The dress attire is professional so each day you will need to wear a shirt and tie and dress pants. No exceptions. We need someone who has a solid background troubleshooting both hardware (desktops, laptops and tablets) and software (Windows XP, Windows 7). Some networking background will be required. This position will be assisting internal and external users so the person chosen must have a great personality and excellent communication skills. This is 40 hours a week starting immediately (NO HOLIDAYS) and will possibly go much longer term based on performance, workload and budgeting



Qualifications:

Must pass a drug and criminal background check before starting

2-3 years’ experience working in the IT Field

2-3 years’ experience troubleshooting hardware issues on desktops, laptops and tablets

2-3 years’ experience troubleshooting software internal and external on Windows based platforms (XP and Windows 7)

Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
