SmartSource is seeking a Senior Support Technician for a 3 – 6 month contract opportunity in Secaucus, NJ.

Job Type: Contract
Duration: 3 – 6 months
Location: Secaucus, NJ
Start Date: 8/31 or sooner
Pay Rate: $22/hour
Hours: Expect Tuesday thru Friday 12:00PM -9:00PM eastern NO EXCEPTIONS! MUST BE ABLE TO WORK THESE HOURS

Role: We are in need of a Sr. Support Technician for a 3-6 month project with a home base in Secaucus NJ with some travel to other locations when needed. The person chosen must have a car. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please review the hours on this project before applying. The schedule is as follows

There is no exceptions. Candidate chosen must have a flexible schedule and work the hours mentioned above. The scope of work is to provide support by doing racking and stacking of servers, deskside support and equipment installations. The candidate chosen must have heavy racking and stacking experience, be able to lift at least 60 lbs. and have a great attitude and work ethic.
• Equipment discontinuance/renewal and documentation
• Installation of new equipment and documentation
• Cable patching and documentation
• Cable management and documentation
• Documentation of removed and installed equipment/cabling
• Excellent documentation skill
• Able to work off shift hours
• Able to read and understand rack layout drawings
• Professionalism is required
• Reliability required
• Other duties as assigned:
• Clean up boxes of used cables, keyboards etc.
• Work with others on the team when workload dictates
• This may include packing/unpacking of equipment
• May include some inventory work

• Must pass a drug and criminal background check before starting
• 3+ years working in the IT Industry
• Solid background performing racking and stacking of servers
• Must have excellent hardware support background on desktops and laptops
• Must be able to perform memory upgrades and asset tagging.
• Must be willing to travel to multiple locations as mentioned above
• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
