SMARTSOURCE is in need of a Desktop Support Technician in Redwood, CA


Job Type: contract / contract to hire

Duration: 12 months

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Redwood City, CA 94063



Job Description

The role of Desktop Support Technician will be to provide desktop support to internal

employees. This role will require strong customer service skills and attention to detail as well as Windows domain experience.



Job Responsibilities

Provide end-user support and problem resolution for desktop computers, laptop/notebook computers, printers and other peripheral hardware, and software applications as well as conduct phone installations.

Train users on network, hardware, and software use.

Diagnose, classify, resolve, and assign technical and procedural issues.

Utilize our trouble-ticketing system to document your work and facilitate communication

With our employees.

Utilize our support technologies to provide remote-based support.

Participate in rotating off-hours on-call support.



Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least 2 years of experience with providing desktop support for Windows-based

Systems including: Windows 2008 and Microsoft Office.

Detail oriented.

Ability to provide quality customer service.

Excellent verbal and written skills.

Ability to work as a team player.

Experience with DNS and TCP/IP a plus.
