Job Description

Role: SmartSource is seeking a (6) Sr. Support Technicians for a 3+ month opportunity located in San Francisco CA.

Overview of Service/Task

-
Provision new lines of service for mobile devices


-
Provision upgrades for mobile devices


-
Facilitate warranty exchanges and replacements of mobile devices


-
Scan asset barcodes and organize assets as needed


-
Load applications as requested following -provided process


-
Migrate user data as requested


-
Manage the inventories of unassigned new, return, Hot Swap and redeployment mobility devices. To this end, Supplier will:


-
Update asset management system with changes


-
Import asset records upon delivery of an asset to using record creation process

Add historical assets to the asset management system for which no asset record exists and notify Asset Manager of such additions


-
Forward information on all known asset discrepancies or issues to Manager, Global Asset Management for resolution

Directly resolve discrepancies or issues with mobile asset records in the Asset Management Database that can be achieved by Supplier

Regarding assets that were being tracked in the asset management system as “active” and later categorized as “missing,” change the status to reflect the missing state


-
Help resolve asset management system discrepancies that may result in report errors


-
Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of physical asset inventory areas

Maintain documented inventory distribution among physical inventory areas, in conjunction with the Procurement teams

Work in conjunction with the Procurement teams and Facilities Team on any major inventory moves


Qualifications:

- Must pass a drug and criminal background check before starting

- 3+ years experience working in the IT Field

- Must have familiarity with deploying IP phones.

- High level of technical proficiency in microcomputer product areas a must.

- Familiarity with large account environments and protocol required. Working knowledge in major desktop operating systems (Windows XP, Windows 7).

- Comfort and familiarity with to take units apart and re-assemble required.

- Excellent troubleshooting skills needed.

- Must have the ability to keep current with alternative systems and technology and make technology recommendations to management consistent with the company’s business and systems strategies. Ability to enter data into systems accurately required.

- Must have the ability to multitask with strong organization and time management skills.

- Must be able to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints within a timely fashion

- Must have excellent customer service background.
