Job Description: We are seeking 2 Jr. Instructional Designer for a 3+ month opportunity located in Addison IL. The staff has senior people already in place and now need to higher people with no more than a couple of years experience. This position reports to the Learning and Development Manager and has responsibility for the design and development of systems, sales, product and management training deliverables. In-depth knowledge and experience with ISD models and tools is required. This position performs a broad range of complex activities associated with instructional design and development, project management, and internal and external vendor and client communications, including mentoring Associate Instructional Designers. It requires proven ability to perform in a multi-site, global environment, including domestic and international travel, as required.

- Primary ownership for classroom deliverables.

- Develop and maintain the learning curriculum for each assigned project.

- Develop classroom delivery strategies.

- Use knowledge of client needs, learner characteristics, learning setting and approved media during design and development.

- Apply ISD methodology to both creating learning materials and delivering training.

- Assist in the development of technical/system training.

- Independently interact with all levels of the organization.

- Create leader’s guides and learning activities.

- Conduct training pilots.

- Administer learning evaluations and the readiness recommendation process.

- Use FrontPage, PowerPoint and Word to create training deliverables.

- Use PowerPoint to create training and communication deliverables.

- Facilitate training sessions.


- Must pass a criminal and drug background check prior to starting

- Knowledge (such as would be required through a pertinent Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or the equivalent in experience, training or certification) of theories, concepts and methodologies of a specific functional, technical (IT products and services or ERP) or ISD area.

- In-depth knowledge, direct experience and proven performance with the concepts, principles, practices and methods of training design and delivery, and development plans to achieve appropriate level of education, certification or experience.

- Ability to quickly master new content areas.

- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet time-sensitive project goals and metrics.

- Strong problem solving, decision-making, negotiation and customer service skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
